Ultimate Chocolate Ganache

Ingredients:

2

cups heavy cream

4

tablespoons unsalted butter

4

tablespoons granulated sugar

12

ounces semisweet chocolate broken into half ounce pieces (or chocolate chips)

6

ounces unsweetened chocolate, broken into half ounce pieces

4

ounces white chocolate, broken into half ounce pieces
Directions:
     
  • Heat the cream, butter, and sugar in a 2.5 quart saucepan over medium-high heat. When hot, stir to dissolve the sugar.

  • Bring the mixture to a boil.

  • Place the 3 types of chocolate in a stainless steel bowl. Pour the boiling cream over the chocolates and allow to stand for 5 minutes.

  • Gently stir until smooth.

  • Allow to cool to room temperature

Drew's Microwave Directions:
     
  • In a medium microwave safe bowl, heat the cream, butter, and sugar on high for 3 minutes. Then stir to dissolve the sugar.

  • Bring the mixture to a boil: microwave on full for 2 minutes 15 seconds.

  • Break up the chocolates and place into a medium bowl.

  • Pour the hot cream mixture over the 3 types of chocolate and allow to stand for 5 minutes.

  • Gently stir until smooth.

  • Allow to cool to room temperature
